All the rooms at The Inn at Danbury have changing seasonal views of the country side and either carefully preserved architecture of the original farmhouse (circa 1870) or a recreated "modern rustic" décor. All rooms are spacious and comfortable with the convenience of modern, in room private baths. Check Availability
We are a Non-Smoking Building, smoking is not allowed in the Inn, in the cottage or in the room. Designated smoking area's available outside away from the building.
Rooms situated in the antique farm section have closer proximity to the mica stone fireplace with wood burning stove, while the rooms in the "modern rustic" section have easier access to the second floor common area with glassed wall allowing additional natural lighting and views of the surrounding forests. While the Inn is almost always naturally cooled by the mountain and country air, some rooms have been provided with air conditioners, while others have quiet ceiling fans.
The Inn has evolved from its original roadside farmhouse built in 1850 into its present comfortable facility with rooms ranging from romantic suites with balconies to family accommodations.
The pool is not heated in the summer time. You can enjoy it a cooler temperature for the warm summer day’s and nights. Therapeutic massages are available on-site.
The Inn at Danbury offers a four-season array of activities ranging from world-renowned fall foliage, to the long-standing popularity of Ragged Mountain Ski Resort (5 minutes away), to the newly created par-72 golf course, also at the base of the mountain.
Children over 8 years old will enjoy our Inn. We can not accommodate pets at our Inn but we can recommend a kennel nearby. Our inn is simple, cozy and unpretentious. It feels as if you are staying at Grandma’s house and it reflects its historic past. You will be sure to enjoy our inn if your idea of quality time is hiking, biking, boating, fishing, swimming in the summer. Or you enjoy downhill skiing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or riding a snow mobile in the winter. If you prefer wildlife to window shopping, open windows and a breeze to sealed environments, cozy to fancy, then you should feel right at home!
A full breakfast is included in the price of your stay, served from 7:30-9:00 AM in the winter and from 8-9:00 AM the rest of the year. During some weekends and special events the breakfast hours will be extended. Our breakfast includes a selection of cereals, home made baked goods, toast and jam, fresh fruit, yogurts. A daily treat of either French toast, pancakes or waffles and an egg dish will be offered. Juice, coffee, and tea is also available. From time to time Chef Graf will spoil you with a gourmet treat for breakfast. Be sure to ask if he will make his award wining Chococolate Chip Coffee cake, it is delicious!
